This was REBUILD 2025 for BIMobject: Innovation, visibility, and industry connection

From April 23 to 25, BIMobject participated as an event partner in the 8th edition of REBUILD, the benchmark event for innovation in building, held at IFEMA Madrid. Our presence, both in the exhibition area and in the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0, reaffirmed BIMobject’s commitment to driving the sector’s digital transformation and supporting the ecosystem of manufacturers and specifiers who accompany us on this journey.

A strategic moment for construction

At a time when sustainability, industrialization, and digitalization are shaping the construction sector, events like REBUILD stand out as key platforms for dialogue, innovation, and industry transformation. The 2025 edition broke participation records with 28,739 professional attendees and more than 500 exhibiting companies, establishing itself as one of the leading European events in industrialized and digital construction.

As a noteworthy institutional highlight, the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, attended and officially closed the event at the “Toward Industrialized Construction” session, announcing a €1.3 billion investment in the new housing-focused PERTE plan, which aims to produce 15,000 factory-built homes annually and reach 20,000 per year within a decade.

Against this backdrop, BIMobject actively participated as an event partner, reaffirming its commitment to sector modernization, promoting the BIM environment, and delivering value to manufacturers, specifiers, and stakeholders across the construction value chain.

A stand designed to spotlight our manufacturers

BIMobject’s presence at REBUILD’s exhibition area centered around a space carefully crafted to highlight national manufacturers already active on our platform. Located in the heart of IFEMA’s Hall 10, our booth served not only as an information point but also as a hub for visibility and connection for Spanish brands embracing product catalog digitalization.

One standout element was a wall over two meters high displaying the logos of all Spanish manufacturers published on bimobject.com. This direct and impactful visual action drew significant visitor attention and symbolized the strong joint commitment between our platform and the brands advancing in BIM adoption as a strategic growth tool.

Over the course of the three-day event, the stand became a meeting point for a wide range of professionals: established manufacturers in BIMobject, new players exploring digital product transformation, architectural firms seeking updated solutions, and technical professionals needing reliable BIM objects for their projects.

Active participation in the advanced architecture congress

BIMobject’s involvement extended beyond the exhibition space. We also contributed to the official program of the National Congress of Advanced Architecture and Construction 4.0 with a key presentation by Mario Ortega, Managing Director of BIMobject for Iberia & LATAM.

In the “BIM Platforms” session, Mario unveiled the next evolution of our platform: Bim.com. This new phase addresses today’s industry demands—making construction product data management in projects more efficient and accessible. To achieve this, BIMobject has joined forces with Eando X and Prodikt to create a new ecosystem that simplifies specification and BIM object usage in increasingly complex digital design and planning environments.

In a second talk at the Estil Guru Theatre, Mario focused on the strategic use of digital content in design environments, addressing a key topic in the BIM world: the difference between generic BIM objects and BIM objects from manufacturers. He explained how manufacturer-developed objects deliver far greater value in terms of technical accuracy, reliability, traceability, and specification capabilities.

A digital brochure to access published brands

Understanding the importance of fast and easy access to technical content at an event like this, BIMobject designed and promoted an interactive digital brochure specifically for REBUILD 2025. This resource featured links to brand pages and BIM objects from manufacturers present at the fair and already active on our platform.

Ahead of the event, the brochure was promoted through an exclusive newsletter to Spanish users of the platform and on LinkedIn. During REBUILD, it was available for direct download via a QR code displayed at our booth. The initiative aimed to increase manufacturer visibility, enhance the visitor experience, and provide direct access to up-to-date BIM libraries and product catalogs ready to be integrated into real-world projects.

Three days of connections, opportunities, and dialogue

REBUILD 2025 was much more than a trade fair. It was a vibrant setting for conversation, collaboration, and idea exchange. For the BIMobject team, it was especially rewarding to reconnect in person with many of our current partners and clients, review strategy, analyze catalog usage metrics, and plan next growth steps.

At the same time, we engaged with many manufacturers not yet on the platform but eager to explore the benefits that BIM environments offer their businesses. Inquiries varied—from companies seeking guidance on how to start digitalizing their products to brands looking to expand their international reach via our platform.

We also welcomed architects, engineers, and technical professionals who shared specific needs for finding reliable, up-to-date BIM content with proper technical support. This kind of direct interaction is essential to keeping our platform aligned with the day-to-day expectations and realities of those who design and build.

Committed to the Digitalization of the construction industry

Participation in REBUILD is part of a broader strategy to support the construction industry’s modernization journey. At BIMobject, our mission is clear: accelerate BIM adoption as a standard, support manufacturers in their digital transformation, and provide quality technical content to all professionals involved in project design and execution.

Our platform—now evolving into Bim.com—represents a comprehensive solution to ensure industrial products are accessible and compliant with the EU’s sustainability regulations. Through this evolution, we aim for a more connected, intelligent experience aligned with the real workflows of the construction sector. At BIMobject, we’re working to ensure every product finds its rightful place in the digital construction landscape—visible, accessible, useful, and relevant to the professionals shaping our built future.

BIM, EPD, and LCA: your blueprint for regulatory compliance and market visibility

06 December 2024

The construction industry is under immense pressure to address its environmental impact. Stringent regulations are pushing manufacturers to provide transparent and reliable information about their product's environmental performance. The goal? Achieve ambitious global climate targets by 2030. This shift is led by structured, digital, and actionable data that ensures products meet sustainability standards and gain visibility with specifiers. In this interview, BIMobject Group Director of Expansion & Data Partners Mattias Steinbichler discusses how BIM (Building Information Modeling), EPDs (Environmental Product Declarations), and LCAs (Life Cycle Assessments) empower manufacturers to meet these demands.
