Formica modernizes their digital content management

“It’s the modern and smart way for us to manage our digital content" —Formica

We connected with Amy right when she was busy launching a large new specialty line of Formica® Brand products. She explains that the company is doing a major product expansion.

“Our range ColorCore®2 has been around for more than 25 years, but by adding Formica Infiniti® ColorCore®, ColorCore® Compact, and new ColorCore® Laminates, we are opening up a new realm of products to our customers”, she says.

The complete Formica® Product portfolio went live on in the summer of 2018, and now Amy is looking forward to adding the new range, thereby making it accessible to the global AEC community.

“BIMobject is creating our AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Revit libraries. We create the digital asset and all of the literature that is tied to it, then we give it to BIMobject for optimization”, she says.

As the world's largest manufacturer of High-Pressure Laminate (HPL), Formica Group already had an international network of design, manufacturing, distribution, and sales operations before joining BIMobject. What they needed help with was the optimization, storage, and distribution of digital assets.

“We were looking for a way to offer our full product library as material libraries for our customers. We turned to BIMobject for all the additional digital benefits of object information, a central database, and cloud storage”, says Amy.

Now that Formica Group is launching a whole new range of products, Amy sees BIMobject as an important platform for visibility and communication.

“We’re very excited about our future with BIMobject. It’s a modern, smarter way for us to manage our digital content and connect with our clients”, says Amy.
